Modern Revised Dictionary Definition: Racist (Racism) Adjective, Noun
A statement, individual or action of negative effect for which delivery is based in or insinuating a generalization or discrimination centred around race….
Simple enough, right??..
Go and look up the Oxford definition, the same one that claims racism can only be enacted from one 'race' to another.
Having the belief that some races of people are better than others or having general beliefs about other people based only on their race; showing this through violent or unfair treatment of people of other races.
- racist attitudes/remarks
- racist thugs/attacks
- It's a bit racist to assume I only eat Chinese food
Oxford
The most important word is 'negative'… So, if it is not
negative – it is not racist, at least not directly. Notice the 'white' certified (and therefore 'objective') definition neglects the inclusion of negativity in favor of a mystifying focus on 'violence', gas-like 'belief' and the idea of 'better'. What is this? What is this for? What is this about? What is this doing? What is this place? What is our purpose again?
You must understand 'racist' as the manifestations of various dynamics, not an internalised accompaniment as the verifiable enemy captors wish to maintain. The core tenets that would serve our understanding best are negativity, activity and generalisation.
E.g.
a ‘smart persons’ event being primarily marketed to Asians is not racist, as
the stereotype / generalization of “Asians being smart” is positive – but is actually also indirectly racist as the usage of such a positive generalization
negatively evaluates other races or nationalities as lesser.
Is this racist? Abstractly, the above case is Not Not
racist. So, it is racist. Are people of superior enough intellect able to comprehend that?
Nevertheless, context must be considered… if the event was
in the 95% Asian Hong Kong, it would not be considered as racist and would be met with much welcome. However, an attempt at marketing the "Asians being smart" sentiment within an homogenous region of another race without many Asians would be much less appreciated, almost guaranteed to be dead on arrival without an enormous push. Additionally, in the former context of an Asian majority region, the
‘Asians being smart’ generalization being racist would not even be a factor.
Facilitated strongly by the illegitimate definition applied to the 'idea-word' that defines such an affecting aspect of our shared reality, these
nuances provide the chasm-like room for disparity and our eager disagreement / denial / confusion
on this quite simple concept of ‘what is racist?'.
"If you give someone an inch, they'll take a mile" ... "Unless they're me"..
The current definition is bull cack to a problematic degree. My definition is fair. Also, it’s a definition that ‘whites’ would
be happier with, considering the proliferation of the ‘blacks can’t be racist,
you have to have power to be racist’ idea.
This definition is simple,
wide-encompassing and can prove ‘racism’ from all ‘races’….
