VMA MTV Social Message Songs 2015 list

This should be a list of motivation songs to uplift you and make you feel good. From the 2015 MTV VMA Awards.

Big Sean - One Man Can Change The World ft. Kanye West, John Legend

Not the best rapping but a lovely, uplifting cleanly written and produced song about possibilities.

Colbie Caillat – Try

A confused but well sung song which tells women to never try to look better, just be happy ugly and don’t wear makeup or try to impress with one’s looks.

Jennifer Hudson - I Still Love You

A familiar and universal dance and disco song given a pro-gay context through the official music video.

Rihanna - American Oxygen

A rousing tune about the gift and curse to humanity that is America and the dream of unity.

Wale - The White Shoes (Official Video)

A highly digressive song about crime and the significance of white shoes with young urban youths featuring a questionably sung and plagiarised hook.

My Winner:
Rihanna - American Oxygen

VMA winner: Big Sean’s weak rapping.

Same again next year?
